¤   -  MODULE -TRACKING
The most efficient, flexible and controllable format for digital composition : the " Module Tracker"
It's a concept, started on the Amiga, with soundsamples loaded in memory, which are called
by reading patterns with command-descriptions, like in a midi-file, but with custom instruments
Most used formats for these files : MOD - XM - IT - S3M - MTM - OKT - 669
I started in DOS 6.22 days with the excellent  FastTracker II  made by Triton from Sweden
v2.00
- v2.04 - - v2.08 - - v2.09 -     FT II screenshot

As sake of history, other DOS-applications to play modules at that time :   Inertia Player
 and   Cubic Player
More DOS apps : RamTracker
  and a command-line WAV to XI converter .

A nice summary of tracker editors (different platforms) and module data by Woolyss.

Now, for a long time, my tool for this is the one and only   ModPlug Tracker   made by Olivier Lapique .
Unfortunately O.L. stopped the development. So I take the liberty, to keep the original software available :
    *  Editor : ModPlug Tracker
( 607 Kb ) (v 1.16)
    *  Player : ModPlug Player
( 330 Kb ) ( v 1.4.6.02)
    *  Stream : ModPlug Plugin
( 120 Kb )

Check my Tracker Module pages for details, screenshots and user tips of these 3 applications

Fortunately, dear Olivier has left us the source-code of the editor, so new developments has begun with the :
